Glacier Walk Express is a short but fantastic glacier hiking tour from Skaftafell National Park to the amazing outlet glacier Falljökull. Perfectly suited for those wishing to combine together two activities on the South-East coast.
Your tour begins at our Skaftafell Base, located on the Skaftafell campsite, close to the visitor centre. Here, you will meet your guide and board the glacier bus, taking you to Falljökull.
Our highly skilled and trained glacier guides will lead a fascinating hike to the edge of the glacier where you will put on the required glacier gear, which is included in the price. Your guide will assist you with getting acquainted with the gear and inform you about safety on the glacier. Then, it's time to step onto the glacier. Your guide will take you on a safe but spectacular route along the glacier tongue, where you will have enough time to get all the photos you want.
After spending roughly an hour exploring the features of the glacier, you head back down to the glacier bus which takes you back to the starting location of Skaftafell.
Bring warm clothing, sturdy boots and rain gear if necessary. Rain gear and hiking boots can be rented on location
